Black Women Zines: Perzines

The personal is the political

This course will explore Black women artists and writers in the zine community. Zines are popular in do it yourself (DIY) culture. It is a form of self-publishing. Perzines are the most common sub-genre of zines. These zines are centered on the writer's personal experiences, opinions, and observations.
